In June 2005, all three divisions of New Flyer were certified to the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. This certification helps assure our customers of our commitment to demonstrable environmental management along with enhancing our corporate image in an environmentally sensitive market place. Continuous improvement of environmental performance coupled with a strong platform of energy efficient transit vehicles allows us to partner with our customers to help them achieve compliance with their environmental regulatory requirements.
Effectively quantifying the environmental impacts of our operations and striving for continual improvement helps to satisfy investor criteria, improves access to capital and reduces insurance premiums which ultimately improves cost control.
